MODEL | Oakley Driscoll
Tell us about the modelling work you have done so far?
Modelling is something quite new to me! I have recently been involved in a few minor shoots which I have really enjoyed - maybe it's something I will continue to look into!
What does 'beauty' mean to you?
Beauty shines from within. It's sounds cliché, but I truly believe that every person holds something special and unique within themselves that determines their own beauty.
What's in your handbag?
I don't have a handbag! I find life is more simple when you have less to carry around.. I store my cards and notes in my iPhone case and I find that's all I need to get through the day :)
At what age did music become part of your life?
Music has always been an influencing factor of who I am, but I began to focus more heavily on the performance side of music at the age of 13. I completed my final two years of schooling at John Curtin College of the Arts in Fremantle where I studied music and gained a deeper understanding of the music world. Within the last 5 years I have explored the music scene more thoroughly, playing in a small trio at local wineries and exposing myself through local venues around the South West.
Can we see you perform locally?
I gig around the South West at local venues such as Caves House Hotel, Samudra, The Margaret River Hotel, but am looking to expand my exposure through playing at other venues throughout the Margaret River region.
You study in Perth now....what do you miss most about the south west, when you are in the BIG smoke?
I mostly miss the beautiful coast line! I've grown up by the ocean and it's hard to be away from the down to earth, relaxing lifestyle that Dunsborough offers!
What's your 5-year plan?
I plan to finish my degree at the University of Western Australia in Marketing & Management and hopefully gain some experience within running music events! I would love to continue exploring my interest in music and developing my own individual style and sound.
