What advice do you have for anyone wanting to enter the industry?
The qualification isn't the most important thing. It's more about the experience and finding your own style.
What products do you use?
Mainly NARS cosmetics, a little of Mac makeup, Masquerade, Senengence Lipsense and a variety of other quality products.
What does beauty mean to you?
A reflection of ones vitality.
Describe a typical day for you?
Mealup Coffee with the girls, some style of physical activity either yoga or beach walk and swim. Most of my work is done from home, emails and make trials during the week and wedding group bookings or fashion campaigns on location mainly during the w.e. Afternoons are pretty chilled in summer, beach hangs til sunset and bbq's are always the best! I'm the type of girl who makes the most of the southwest lifestyle :)
Who is the ultimate dream person you'd like to assist (celebrity or other)...and why?
Max May celebrity fashion hair & makeup artist founder & editor or beauty blog Maxmade.com.au. I love his style and find it similar to what I see in beauty and what is aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
Any application tips/tricks??
The most important rule is not over do it. Less is best! Your inner health will reflect how your makeup will sit on your skin. If your skins natural function is working and balanced your makeup should sit perfectly. Hydration and a good skin care regime is the key to a flawless foundation. I always ask my brides to have a facial prior their wedding day and drink lots and lots of water!
What 3 make-up items should no woman leave home without?
Tinted SPF moisturiser, bronzer and mascara.
What are the trends for the coming season?
South west boutique... Supernova, Laneway
Thing to do on a day off... Yoga, coffee, shopping, beach, Peko Peko picnics, Simmo's ice creamery, costal cape to Cape walks, wining and dining - Little Fish or Aravina, curry van at the Old Dunsborough boat ramp.
